Syktyvkar Humanitarian Pedagogical College developed a technique for initiation age children to the ethnic culture of the Komi means of music.

During the academic year, students in contact with specialists of preschool education lessons to children of one of the kindergartens of the capital of the republic: preschool age children were taken on tours of the Finno-Ugric Cultural Centre of Komi, Komi urban center of culture, were interviewed about the Komi composers and folk music, learned to produce and play Komi national musical instruments.

Students have created a bank of audio and video using the elements of the Komi folklore have been used in the classroom with children.

"Now, child care Syktyvkar already turn to us for this new development. The possibilities created by the bank records and description of the methodology will be replicated on disks"- told Project Manager Tatiana Pakhomovа.
