In the town Gubkinskiy the museum "Culture and everyday life of forest Nenets people" organized in the children's school of art N2 confirmed its status and received a passport.
By the information given to a correspondent of IA "Sever-Press", the museum was made 10 years ago. Today the fund counts 360 exhibits. Among them there is a real choum (the national dwelling like tepee, wigwam). Organizers of the museum take it to ethnographic expeditions. Forest Nenets people gave 32 exhibits as presents during the last year expedition.
During the academic year all pupils of the school of art and 590 guests - pupils of town schools got acquainted with the expositions of the museum.
A new exhibition to nomadic settlements of forest Nenets people is planned in September.
