It was in the vicinity of Kyn Factory that the major symbol of Perm Animal Style -the Sacrificial Bear plate - was once discovered. An exact replica of that “bear”, 3.5 meters large, will be set up in the Village of Kyn on July 31.
The monument will be named Beginning of the Perm Territory. The author of the monument is sculptor Anatoli Chagochkin.
On the same day a bell with an interesting history will be mounted on the old St. Trinity Church in Kyn. It is the only bell remained intact out of the 16 bells that once hang in the church. It was left by the Bolsheviks in order to beat alarm in case of fire. 23 years ago it disappeared from the settlement and only later was found in Solikamsk, on the belfry of a Solikamsk church.
In August archeologists will search for a steam-engine made in England. According to some data, the ancient machine lies buried somewhere around the dam on River Kynok.
Archeologists will also continue digging works in search of ancient items of the Perm Animal Style.
