On 21 August in township Yukseevo the festival of Komi-permyak traditions and culture “Olan-velan komi otir” (from the komi-language “Live and prosper Komi”) will take place. This festival is held for the second time. Last year the village Bolshaya (Big) Kocha was the centre of it. As a part of the festival the folk ritual “Bykoboi” (a ritual ox offering) was performed. This year the festival offers a rare opportunity to witness ditailed marriage rite reconstructed according to all Komi traditional rituals. In the following years within the frame of the festivals some other folk traditional ceremonies and celebrations will be recreated.
