The museum was organized in honor of I. A. Kuratov in the village of Kuratovo (Sysolsky region, Komi Republic).

The particularity of the museum is a great amount of interesting exhibits from wood, birch bark used in the Komi Republic in the household. The building of the log hut is very big: four rooms, inner porch and barn; stands devoted to A. I. Kuratov, a bust and the poet’s works. The visitors of the museum take an interest in the biography and genealogy of the poet. The exhibitions of decorative and applied arts and festivals are held in the museum.

Among the most valuable collections of the museum are household articles of peasant’s log house and illustrations to work by Kuratov “Zakar Ordyn”.
