Lapps considered this lake holy; annually they sacrificed at seitas location here. In their opinion, Seitalake was an abode of evil spirits. Dismal impression of the lake worsens by ominous image of dark grey and green rocks having crossed b blood red veins of eudialyte (popular name of this mineral is “Lapp blood”).

Nowadays numerous abnormal phenomena are connected with Seitalake. It is considered to be one of the main “sites of power” in Russia. Adventures like ufologists, cryptzoologists, explorers of mythical Geperboreya and many others.

The area of Seitalake preserve is 17400 hectares. Unique fish fauna, original plankton and rare plants, as well as Sami monuments are protected. Seitalake is located on the altitude of 189 meters above sea level. Its length is 8 km, width – 1, 5 km in the narrow part and till 2, 5 km in the wide part. Mountains covering lake hollow from northern winds made a special microclimate on Seitalake, that’s why nature here is a little bit different from ordinary polar nature – some plants can be found only in these sites.

Investigators have founded a group of stone gods on the north-western sheer slope of Zamkovaya rock, a real Olympus of gods. The most famous is “old man”. The surface of the stone is broken with a net of fissures making a human being-like figure.
