A director of documentary and feature films about life of indigenous peoples of the North Anastasia Lapsui from Yamal presented a film "Pudana, last of the line" on the International festival of young European cinematography "VOICES" in the town Vologda. This information was given to a correspondent of IA "Sever-Press" in the regional department of culture.

The non-competitive program, which showed a wide range of works by recognized masters to the audience - from art-house to commercial projects, was foreseen on the festival. Russia in the program "European Express" was presented with the film of the filmmaker from Yamal "Pudana, last of the line". That movie, once captivated the audience on the Berlin Film Festival, is based on the true story of a Nenets girl named Pudana, who was taken from her family to a boarding school to study literacy and Russian language. She is given a new name, and people try to cultivate another culture in her, but this culture seems strange and cruel to the girl. The theme of resistance of a little human to the rigid system of society is born out of this private story.

Within the framework of the festival Anastasia Lapsui conducted master classes, participated in seminars and round tables and met with the audience.
