On September, 5 representatives of public associations of Karelians of the Republic of Karelia, the Tver area and Finland will have a meeting in Olonets where they plan to discuss issues of joint implementation of projects and activities aimed at development of language and ethnocultural potential of the Karelian people. Let's remind, that in July, 2010 under the initiative of the Karelian public there has been signed a cooperation agreement between the Korela inter-regional center for support of the Baltic and Finnish peoples, The Olonets Karelians public organization and the Tver regional national and cultural autonomy of the Tver Karelian. The key field of activity the parties have defined cooperation in preservation and popularization of Karelian language, development of literature in Karelian, as well as partnership in joint design activity in projects coresponding to common purposes and tasks.
