In Murmansk region the Russian Federation passes test of the electronic Lappish-Russian dictionary. The dictionary is developed within the last year on means of committee on culture of the international body of the Lappish movement - the Union of Sami. About it the media center of FINUGOR was reported by the member of the Union of Sami, the vice-chairman of the Lappish parliament of the Kola Peninsula, the chairman of Fund of the Lappish heritage and development Andrey Danilov. The Lappish activist, the expert in the field of the software Sergey Nikolaev became the main dictionary developer. The Fund of the Lappish heritage and development and the Kola Lappish radio became partners of the project.
As A. Danilov told, during the implementation of the project of cultural committee of the Union of Sami "The Lappish fairy tales" the problem of absence of modern technologies of studying of a kildinsky dialect of the Lappish language (extended among the Russian Sami in Murmansk region) for children of younger school age and youth was revealed. "Meanwhile it is the modern technologies which are available and easy to use, will be able to involve children and youth in studying of the Lappish language. It shows also preliminary questioning of Sami of Murmansk region, carried out by the National cultural center of the village Lovozero", - he noted.
Modern technologies of studying of the Lappish language became the priority direction for cultural committee of the Union of Sami. Two projects already became winners of competition of grants. One project is already realized by Alexander Yuryev - it is known thanks to a site of Lappish Russian layout of the keyboard for Windows.
Besides the dictionary, the creation of training programs for the Lappish language for children of 4 years and younger school age, and also youth is planned. "The fund invites sponsors for implementation of projects", - the activist concluded.
