The cross in memory of the first president of Estonia set up in Tver

The cross in memory of the first president of Estonia Konstantin Päts set up in the Tver region in a village near Tver Burashevo. There was nameless burial place of the president in the village Burashevo. The initiative to establish a memorial cross belongs to the head Burashevskogo rural settlement of the Kalinin district Sergei Rozhkov.

The ceremony was attended by local residents, representatives of the Tver regional organization «Estonian community», a visitor from Estonia Henn Latt, who is one of those who found the grave.

By the Orthodox cross is attached plaque: «Here lies the first president of Estonia - Konstantin Päts 02/23/1874 - 18/01/1956, who had been treated at KOPB № 1 name Litvinov. The president remains were reburied at home in Tallinn in 1990».
