The representative of Mordovia Vasily Nemechkin became the President of Youth association of the Finno-Ugric people (MAFUN). One of participants of X International congress MAFUN has informed FINUGOR Media Centre on it. The Congress passes in Saransk from August, 1 till August, 3rd.

The post of MAFUN leader was contested by representatives of Mordovia and the Perm region - the chairman of coordination center MAFUN in Mordovia, a member of Public chamber of Mordovia, the post-graduate student of the Mordovian state university of Ogaryov V.Nemechkin and the chairman of Perm regional public organization "Wind rose" Svetlana Kolchurina have been put forward.

Having received on voting of 36 voices, V.Nemechkin became the president. S.Kolchurina and the vice-president of student's committee of the Helsinki university (Committee of the Finno-Ugric people) Sampsa Holopajnen are selected by vice-presidents of MAFUN.
