Sami parliament of Norway  did not succeed to open its own office in New York. We would remind you that SMP planned opening its own office in New York in order to work with UN more system and fruitful. It was planned to spend €125 000 on it (1 million of Norwegian krone). That topic provoked a discussion in Norwegian mass media.

According to adviser Sami parliament of Norway Vibeke Larsen it is too hard for representatives of Sami people to evoke a response from Norway government with different questions that play a great role for Sami people: a law of mineral resources, broadening of national parks and nature reserves on the Sami territory, - it is just a little part of necessary questions for examination.

But, Media center FINUGOR.RU knew that it is not come to implementation of that project: the proposal about opening the office in New York was not supported by the most members of Sami parliament of Norway during voting.
