In Finland the program of Sami languages’ rebirth will be devised till the end of 2011. It was said to Media Center FINUGOR in the Ministry of Education and Culture of Suomi.

According to the senior specialist of the department of culture, sport and youth policy of the ministry Mikko Kortes Tellez this office is one of key in the system of preservation and development Sami languages in Finland – the Northsami, the Inarisami and Koltta-Sami languages. “Supporting education Sami people and in the Sami languages is very important component in the sphere of rebirth culture of Sami people”, - he pointed.

Through the ministry special aids of the state supporting of Sami culture and non-government Sami organizations are assigned. With distribution of these aids the Sami parliament of Finland is occupied. In addition the ministry assigns special state subsidy to language “places” at studying the Sami language. The Ministry of Education and Culture in Finland heads the working group that develops overall and long-term program of rebirth of all Sami languages. This work will be finished at the end of 2011.
