Finno-Ugric Forum Under Hungarian Patronate

The Finno-Ugric Socioeconomic Forum, which will take place from December 1-3, 2011, gets more and more significant status in the Finno-Ugric world, site KUDYMKAR | CULTURE RELOADED reports.

 

This week organizers of the Forum - Perm Regional Public Organization ‘Wind Rose’’ (Roza Vetrov) and the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization ‘’Civic Engagement Institute’’ – obtained consent of István Íjgyártó, Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary to the Russian Federation, for the patronate of the event. On the same occasion, negotiations are on-going with diplomatic missions of Finland and Estonia.

 

Besides, the social network and news resource of Finno-Ugric nations Uralistica (http://uralistica.com)– along with partners of all the events of “Culture Reloaded” - will provide information on the Forum as another media partner.

 

‘When Svetlana KOLCHURINA, President of the PRPO ‘’Wind Rose’’, and me were organizing the first Forum, we were being clearly aware of that there was a lackof intersectoral and interdisciplinary sites for discussion of questions, connected with the Finno-Ugric topic, in Russia, especially with its economic aspects’, said Zoya LUKYANOVA, General Director of the ANO “Civic Engagement Institute’’, Program Director of "Culture Reloaded", at another press-ryt at the Program’s Executive Office. ‘In two years passed, the Forum has become a working vehicle for the communication of the Finno-Ugric peoples, experts,young people as well as power bodies, businesses, and public organizations.’

 

The topic of the Third Finno-Ugric Socioeconomic Forum became the problem, which is actual for the whole globe, – “Shrinking vs Globalization in the Modern World". The board of Forum experts will include Vasily Nemechkin, President of the Youth Association of Finno-Ugric Peoples (MAFUN, Saransk); Stella Cristofolini, Cultural manager (Germany); Professor Janne Saarikivi, Sampsa Holopainen, and Niko Partanen (Finland); Katalin Beszpremy from the National Centre of Cultural Heritage (Hungary), and others.

 

Among the proposed topics, it is especially to point out such of them as processes of shrinking and transformation in the modern world, creative industries, civic participation, methodology of "language nests". Within the Forum, the presentation and master classes for the new children’s book "My Kudymkar" ("МиянКудымкар"; author - Elena Istomina), and the theatrical performance "Tales", based on the works by Anatoly Radostev (producers – Elena Ushkova and Sergei Ushkov), will take place.
