Section of Wikipedia in vepsian language officially opened on February 2. Project coordinator of the International working group for indigenous affairs (IWGIA) "The Development of the youth information network of indigenous peoples of the North" Johannes Rohr told about it.

She became the first section of the free-mega-encyclopedia on one of the languages of indigenous numerically small peoples of Russia.
