The chairman of the International advisory committee of the Finno-Ugric people Valery Markov has denied the information published earlier in mass-media that VII World congress of the Finno-Ugric people in 2016, probably, will be held in Komi. He declared about it at the seminar of the Finnish-Russian project on training of representatives of the Finno-Ugric organizations in the beginning of February, 2012.

The news agency RIA Novosti informed that the following congress possibly will be held in Komi, referencing to the not mentioned source in the international advisory committee of the Finno-Ugric people.
