The officer of the Youth Association of the Finno-Ugric People (YAFUP) from Estonia Oliver Loode offered the Constant forum of the United Nations concerning the indigenous people at session of the CF United Nations in New York to double the quantity of its effective participants by the organization of Internet translation of all sessions and special actions of the radical people. The leader of the Karelian Youth, ex-president YAFUP Alexey Tsykarev informed the media centre FINUGOR about it.
YAFUP also suggested leading a half-day discussion about the use of information technologies for the blessing of the radical people, to hear positive examples and expert estimations at the following session of a forum. According to O.Loode, an introduction of information technologies to a daily life of the radical people may be risky but it creates many useful opportunities. In the United Nations Declaration the right of the indigenous people to get information in the native language is already fixed, and it is not excluded that the further discussions will lead to the establishment of the right of the indigenous people on access for the Internet.
YAFUP also supported the Russian language in the United Nations work. Today the site of the Forum of the indigenous people works in English, Spanish and French whereas all official languages of the United Nations should be used, including Russian, Chinese and Arabian. Such state of affairs limits the access to the information of the United Nations of representatives of many people, including the radical people of Russia. The Finno-Ugric youth supported the idea of the group of radical youth of the forum about necessity of inclusion of representatives of youth in preparation for the half-day discussion about youth at a following forum.
