In the Nenets Autonomous Area for the first time during all history of region the bill «About the native language of the radical small people of the North living in territory of Nenets Autonomous Area» was developed. According to the bill the Nenets language is declared as a local official language in the places of residing of these people and is used on a level with a state language of the Russian Federation. 

To increase the legal literacy of the radical small people of the North, laws and other statutory acts in the field of guarantees of the rights of Nenets will be published with the translator into their native language. Names of geographical objects of district territories, roads and other  indexes and inscriptions in places of traditional residing of the radical small people of the North along with a state language of the Russian Federation will be made out taking into account interests of the population on the native language. The separate article of the law is devoted to the learning Nenets language. 

Experts of management of the radical small people of the north and traditional kinds of activity of district and Association of the Nenets people «Jasavay» worked on the creation of the law on Nenets language.

 In the near future the bill of Nenets language will be taken out on the next session of administration of region.
