The delegation of Ingrian Finns does not have the means to travel to the VI World Congress of Finno-Ugric peoples. The chairman of the Voluntary Society Ingrian Finns Inkerin Liitto, a member of the Consultative Committee of Finno-Ugric peoples  Aleksandr Kirjanen informed the media Center FINUGOR about it.

Let's remind, the Congress will be held in the Hungarian town of Siófok from 5 to 7 September this year." The question concerning the payment of the trip is not solved till now. A city [the administration of St.-Petersburg] refuses to pay. It is strange; after all in other regions it is solved that trips of delegations are paid by administrations. Our neighbors Karelians have already bought tickets to Hungary through Tallinn... Just two our persons can go at their's own expense, - A.Kirjanen explained. - And the state structure wish to go on Congress".

Leader Inkerin Liitto has told, that he will inform about this situation the chairman of  MKKFUN Valery Markov and his assistant Merju Hannus. According to decision, the quota for Ingrian Finns makes 10 persons.

Kola Saami have appeared in a similar situation. To solve the question of financing of a trip V.Markov was obliged to interfere.
