In Syktyvkar, in the Finno-Ugric cultural center of the Komi Republic, there's been a meeting of the Coordination center of the Youth Association of Finno-Ugric Peoples (MAFUN) in the Komi republic.

Participants in the meeting have made changes to the draft regulations for the MAFUN CC in the Komi Republic, discussed the participation of the Coordination Center in the organization and conducting of the XXIX International Finno-Ugric Students Conference IFUSCO, which will take place the 6th to the 8th of May in Syktyvkar, and participation in the forthcoming MAFUN congress in Finland (5-7th of August this year).

At present, the MAFUN Coordination Center in the Komi Republic has been compiling applications for participation in the MAFUN program "Finno-Ugric cultural capitals.” The organizations were asked to publicize their activities in regional media, and to choose two members from each organization in the Coordination Center Council, one representative for participation in the Congress, organize the process of education in the Finnish language for preparation for the Congress and come up with a plan to realize collaborative projects.
