The village of Kinerma is included in the Unified State Register of Objects of Cultural Heritage

The village of Kinerma of the XVI century is included in the Unified State Register of Objects of Cultural Heritage of Nations of the Russian Federation as an object of cultural heritage of regional importance. Head of Karelia Alexander Khudilainen has signed the corresponding Order of the Government, portal Official Karelia reports.

The village of Kinerma is located within the territory of Vedlozero rural settlement, Pryazha national region. The first record of the village is related to 1563 when this land and peasants living there were entered in the cadastres of Obonezhsky administrative territorial unit. Recently, on August 10, Kinerma celebrated its 450th anniversary.

Kinerma is a unique complex memorial of popular wooden architecture of Livvik Karelians, an example of traditional settlement of Karelia. The village is a natural open-air museum with traditional layout and building elements that may tell the story of life of the ancient population of this area.

Homes in Kinerma form some kind of a circle which center is the Chapel of the Smolensk icon of the Mother of God "Hodigitria" built in the latter half of the ХVIIIth century. Among the buildings of the village there are complex houses and utility structures. Seven of seventeen buildings of Kinerma are recognized monuments of architecture.
