Financing of the Russian-Finnish cultural projects will increase in 2014 in a quarter

Financing of the Russian-Finnish cultural projects will increase in 2014 ina quarter. The deputy minister of culture of the Russian Federation Alla Manilova reported about this at the XIV Russian-Finnish cultural forum  "New calls of culture". This forum takes place in Velikiy Novgorod, reports  "Kultura" radio.

Financing, according to Manilova, will be increased up to 2,5 million rubles from Russian side and up to 40 thousand euros from Finnish. Besides, it became to be known that the capital of Northern Finland – the city of Oulu is the next place for Russian-Finnish cultural forum  in 2014.

According to organizers of the forum, only this year it is selected 124   joint Russian-Finnish projects for realization. In total for about 400 demands were submitted. In most cases, these are  projects of an exchange of experience between libraries, folklore performances, jazz and classical musical groups and collectives, cooperation between literary organizations of Finland and Russia and even international rural festival of  Finno-Ugric people  "Suguvastavundu".

For participation in the forum representatives of noncommercial and public institutions of culture, education and tourism of Finland  gathered together in Velikiy Novgorod. Since 2000 the Russian and Finnish partners   have realized more than 700 joint projects in the sphere of culture.
