On December, 11 it was a meeting with the minister of national politics of Komi republic Galina Gabusheva and representatives of the Estonia official delegation. They discussed outlook of holding joint projects in the area of the Finno-Ugric collaboration.
G. Gabusheva greeted the guests, said on the ministry work that was directed to preservation and development of languages and cultures of the peoples of the republic. Moreover G. Gabusheva noted that in Komi every year became more popular ethnotourists projects, that are oriented to the acquaintance with the culture and life of native peoples of the republic. The minister gave some examples of national holidays, that were very important for ethnotourists projects in the republic: Gorky in Ust-Tsylma, the Komi-Izhma holiday "Lud", the hunters' holiday in Yeremeevo ect.
Mr. Tauno Vykgmar, the elder of Yykhvi volost, the capital of Ida-Viruuma district, agreed that in Komi there is quite good basis for development of ethnocultural tourism. For his turn he acquainted meeting participants with at the Ida-Viruuma district large sociocultural projects negotiated, some of which became traditional. He noted that historical Yykhvi was crossing of transport tracks between St. Petersburg and West Europe, and it was the basis of variety of peoples' cultures. In particulars, he went into particulars on the traditional culture festival of national minorities "Loomepada". During the fest are held different measures such as exhibitions of arts and crafts of peoples, that live in Estonia, skilled craftsmen master-classes, scientific and practical seminars and round tables, concerts. A topic of the festival is changed yearly. This year the festival in Ida-Virumaa was organized for the tenth time.
During the meeting it was reached an agreement on joint actions devoted to the consolidation of the Finno-Ugric collaboration between Komi and Estonia, in the frames of which in 2014 one plans to organize Komi culture days in Estonia and Estonia culture days in Komi.
