International tourist exhibition «Matka NORDIC TRAVEL FAIR», one of the largest exhibitions in the tourism industry of the northwestern region of Europe, took place inHelsinkifrom 16 to 19 January. Under this event, the center of Udmurtia export support, assisted by Ministry of Economy of the Republic, organized a collective stand of the companies in our region. The participants were three tour operators for domestic and international inbound tourism: OOO FSK Soyuz, OOO Ariadna-tour, OOO TK MDS-tour.

Companies of Udmurtia presented unique ethnographic routes and famous places of the region, as well as eco-tourism destinations, according to the “Delovoy Kvadrat”.

The exhibition was designed both for the representatives of tourism business and for tourists; its area was about 12,000 square meters, it was attended by about 1,100 companies from 80 countries, by more than 76,000 people, including 18,000 industry professionals.

The exhibition in Helsinki has become a great help for Udmurtia. Besides the fact that the population of Finland and Udmurtia refers to the same Finno-Ugric language group, it was in Helsinki that Udmurtia won an international competition “Cultural Capitals of the Finno-Ugric world” in August 2013. Exhibitors had an opportunity to once again emphasize the beauty and originality of the Udmurt region, invite new guests to our amazing region and expand cooperation with business partners from Northern and Western Europe.
