The film of famous Uralian film- director Aleksey Fedorchenko “The Celestial wives of Meadow Mari” won at once three awards “The white Elephant” of The Russian Guild of Film Critics. Fedorchenko told to the Znak. com, he hadn’t attended the ceremony in the House of cinema, but the cameraman Shandor Berkeshi had visited it and received the prize for the best cinematography work. Also the film won awards for the best screenplay and the best work of painter.

The film – director calls “The   Celestial wives”  “The Mari Decamerone”. This is ethnic digest of twenty three novels about Mari. Each of them is unique genre history.   The presentation of the film was held in august 2013 in Yekaterinburg.

Since that time it gathered a lot of awards in different film festivals: grand prix of International film festival “New horizons” in Wroclaw, the audience award and award of the International federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) during XII International film festival “GoEast” of Central and Eastern European countries in Wiesbaden, the audience award and the award for the best cinematography work in VII International film festival “Zerkalo” honored after Andrey Tarkovsky. 

In Sochi the film received at least three awards in XXIV opened Russian film festival “Kinotavr”.
