Nenets autonomy of Russian Federation has accepted the resolution " About the cases of paper - keeping activities in Nenets language."-declares the Official website of NAD.

As an acting deputy of native numerically insignificant northen inhabitants department and of traditional activity types of NAD Anatoly Dityatev had announced, that the following document predetermines the situations where in compact Nentsy inhabited areas local government institutions could organize official paper work in Nenets language as well as in Russian. It means, that local government institutions can respond their Nenets inhabitants in Nenets language.

According to the public policy centre's expert of Pomorskiy region Vadim Treskin, there is no use to evaluate this innovation "on an electoral level",because only 5% of NAD citizens speak Nents. This resolution had been accepted by local government only because of sincere favor to support a little nationality, the name of which is also the name of the district. Its difficult to develop the language if it is spoken only "at home" and this proposal gives a chance for the language to be relived and at the same time doesn't let the citizens forget it.
