More than one million of budgetary rubles the government of the Leningrad region intends to spend  for training the population the Veps language  and the printing of ethnocalendars

Studying the site of government purchases, the correspondent 47news paid attention to two competitions, declared on July 18 by committee on local government, the international and interfaith relations.

According to materials of the first, the government will allocate 625 000 rubles for training of hundred people  the Veps language. Under the terms of competition it is supposed  to train 5 groups incudingf 20 people in each, with a total amount of 250 class periods. The project will be carried out in one or several regions of the Leningrad region defined legislatively as places of traditional accommodation of Veps. The training purpose is support and preservation of languages of the indigenous not numerous people.

The second competition, with the worth of 450 000 rubles, assumes production of 1000 wall ethnocalendars and the same number of the daily logs informing on national and religious holidays in the Leningrad region. The total cost of these ethnographic practices of the government will make 1 million 75 thousand rubles.
