In the course of priority area of university development “Applied researches in the Finno-Ugric sphere” N. P. Ogarev's Mordovian State University has opened Finnish and Hungarian language courses, as it was reported by the university press service.
According to the dean of the philological department, Professor Mikhail Mosin, the aim of the step is to teach all the people interested Finno-Ugric languages. “During three months twice a week professors of the Finno-Ugric linguistics subdepartment and the subdepartment of comparative philology of the philological department of the university will be delivering lectures and organizing practical training classes. On finishing the course students will be given corresponding certificates,” – remarked M. Mosin.
