
The Developers of the Finno-ugric online-phrasebook added to the English and the Komi-Permyak language. Thus the total number of languages eleven. It is English, Russian (language of interethnic communication of the Finno-Ugric), Karelian, Mari, Komi-Zyriansky, Udmurt, Hungarian, Moksha, Erzya, Finnish and Komi-Permyak.
The original innovation project was created on the basis of the Russian media-centre FINUGOR on the initiative and with the financial support of Ministry of National Politics of Komi Republic.The conversation book is available on the web-site of the Finno-Ugric digital library in phrasebook.fulib.ru.
The conversation book contains over 1000 words and collocations, most frequently used in everyday life, in 9 Finno-Ugric languages. The works on the compilation of the conversation book and its translation were conducted by the experienced linguists from different countries. In the nearest future there are supposed to be added the Finnish, Khanty and Mansi versions.
Also a media center FINUGOR with the help of the M. A. Castrén Society (Finland) will lead the work on the inclusion in the book of the veps, karelian-ludic and kildin-sami languages. The developers plan to increase the number of expressions to 2000, including through the preparation of regional studies descriptions, the inclusion of the phrase other languages (estonian, nenets, livonian, izhora and others languages), audio dubbing phrases.
