The president of Russia Vladimir Putin considers that first of all inhabitants of the country have to be Russians, and then already representatives of the nationality. The head of state emphasized the importance of a national perspective on 10 of February at the meeting with members of Public council on preparation of the Olympic Games, "Natsaktsent" informs.

V. Putin noted that the subject of the national relations is now actual for many countries of the world. Some problems, according to the words of the president, arise even in those countries which are considered as the mononational.

The president declared that Russia initially developed as the multinational and multi-religious country. "Therefore the culture of coexistence and culture of feeling yourself as the part of the huge space, understanding the prize for small and big ethnoses because that everyone lives in the one big strong state,- is very important factor of fortress, stability and development of the Russian state", - V. Putin expressed his opinion. The president output the "recipe" of coexistence of inhabitants of the country: "Formula " - for the first the Russian, and then already the representative of any ethnos is absolutely correct, without any belittling of value of this cultural identity of each people, each nationality. One supplements another".
