The first Congress of the Komi-Permyak people will take place on 24 March in Kudymkar.

With the initiative of holding the first in the history of the Komi-Permyak people of the Congress was the administration of the Governor of the Perm region. It was actively supported by the representatives of the Komi public, bodies of state power of a territory and local self-government of the Komi-Permyatsky district of Perm.

Delegations from all regions of Komi-Permyak Okrug, as well as the Komi-Permyak community of the city of Perm, Syktyvkar and Moscow will take part in the Congress.

It is planned that the Congress of the Komi-Permyak people will become permanent public authority.

Congress should give new impetus to the public activity of representatives of the Komi-Permyak people and bring the work to preserve its ethnic identity to a qualitatively new level.
