X Congress of the Youth Association of Finno-Ugric peoples (MAFUN) "Public diplomacy and civic participation" will be held August, 1-3 in the capital of the Republic of Mordovia, Saransk, President of MAFUN Alexei Tsykarev informs.

Congress will be held at the Second International Decade of Indigenous Peoples of the World and prepare for the celebration of 1000 anniversary of the unification Mordovian people and the peoples of the Russian state. Congress passes the financial, organizational and informational support to the Head of the Republic of Mordovia, the Ministry of National Policy and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Mordovia, the International Consultative Committee of Finno-Ugric peoples, the Association of Finno-Ugric peoples of the Russian Federation and the Youth Public Movement Mordovian people of the Republic of Mordovia.

The working section of the Congress:
• Public diplomacy. Ethnopolitics. The rights of indigenous peoples.
• Ethnoeconomics.
• Language. Culture. Education.
• The information space and social media.

In accordance with the Rules of Congress MAFUN and the Charter MAFUN Congress delegates at the closing plenary session to decide on a new composition of the Board MAFUN, the President and Vice President MAFUN. Delegates approve plan MAFUN the next two years and the final resolution of Congress. Delegates considered the report of the Board on progress, decide to become a member or expulsion of members MAFUN, as well as determine the location and timing of the next Congress of MAFUN. In accordance with the Charter, the focal point should propose candidates to the board and president of MAFUN three months before the Congress.
