In the summer of 2012 at the Internet site was launched the I youth festival «EthnoKino» representing the audience creative work of young people about the cultures and peoples of the multinational Russia and other countries.

The participants of the festival were students and young scientists (up to 35 years), presented their own short films (up to 30 minutes) movies of different genres in the ethnographic themes.

Films of the festival, as the documents of the present, telling stories about the transformation of the ancient cultural traditions in the twenty-first century.

Participants ' works were evaluated by representatives of the professional jury (film-makers and ethnographers) and the audience.
