The Syktyvkar State University took the initiative of the creation of an informative and educational Finno-Ugric portal for coordination of interaction the higher education institutions – the members of the International Association of Finno-Ugric Universities (IAFUU). This offer was sounded by the head of the Finno-Ugric scientific and educational center of SyktGU Nadezhda Bazhenova at IAFUU meeting on March 27 in the capital of Komi Republic.
According to her words, traditional "live" meetings of IAFUU’s members not always take place in full strength therefore it is better to adjust exchange of information through a uniform portal. "Sometimes there doesn't come Petrozavodsk, is more often - Ugra university, is even more often – Europe, - N. Bazhenova told, meaning universities from Hungary and Finland, entering in IAFUU. – Now there are a lot of Finno-Ugric information resources, but there is no portal where there would be information of educational character for students, teachers, technical officers of universities". N. Bazhenova suggested to create an informative and educational portal of IAFUU on the basis of SyktGU's site and invited members - universities of Association to provide news, announcements of conferences and seminars and other information for filling of a new web resource. As a result there will be an IAFUU uniform database on all activities, it is supposed to organize digital library with text-, photo- and video content, and also to create a blog sphere for students and the staff of higher education institutions.
"Such portal can be created this year", - the representative of SyktGU noted.
