In Tartu at Tartusky University the ABC-book of the  Livonian language Jelzi sõnā ("the First word") was presented on May, 22nd. The head of the department of Finno-Ugric languages of Institute of the Estonian language (Tallinn) Sven-Erik Soosaar informed the media centre FINUGOR about it.

The author of the ABC-book  is the famous in Latvia and Estonia Liv, doctor of sciences (the dissertation is devoted to the formation of literary Livski language), the writer and the translator from  Livonian  language Valts Ernshtreits (Valts Ern š treits). Baiba Damberg and Lilita Līce also worked at the book. The edition is carried out with the support of the Estonian society of the native language and the Society of Livski cultures (Tartu). The ABC-book is published completely on Livski language, including the explanations and output data. The previous ABC-book of Livski language was issued in 1938.
