The project «Mari every day» started up in a social network «Vkontakte.ru» on July, 1st. It became popular very quickly and now the project page has about 100 subscribers. In group there are 20 visual aids with Mari words and expressions. Orina Mirnova - the author of lessons, the girl who knows the native language, but does not speak it perfectly. She names «Mari every day» «the social project on the personal beginnings». She informed the Info centre FINUGOR whence the idea of this project appeared and about future.

"The idea has arisen approximately two months earlier than the starting of the page «!!!... Mari every day …!!!»  “Vkontakte”. The page «Udmurt every day» became the inspirer and stimulus to the creation of our page. It was a fine example to create. One more idea-inspirer became the project «Myi marla oilem», that was conducted by the youth organization " ViyAr " in Mari-El.

To support it there was an idea to continue the action «My first 150 words in Mari», that’s why as an advertising picture there is the design of the brochure created by the artist Sergey Tanygin.

One month has passed from the beginning of work of the project and it is possible to bring the first results. In the first month it is always interesting to look at the reaction of interested people in studying Mari language. On August, 1st there are 98 persons! Even a page «the Italian language every day» “Vkontakte” is on the second place according to the number of subscribers: 81 persons. So we can compare the popularity of one of the Finno-Ugric languages! But nevertheless the leading languages remain English, Portuguese, French, Finnish".
