Chumbulat - the legendary Mari prince, who entered into Mari mythology. Chumbulat  lived a long life. Before the death he bequeathed to bury him at the top of the mountain on the bank of the river Nemda. Chumbulat - the prince-soldier, who in the end of XI century collected the most part of  the isolated Mari tribes under his protection and ordered to build fortified cities. By his people he was regard as the northern tsar.
