Anna Nerkagi was awarded with the prize of the Association of Writers of Ural region

In the settlement Aksarka the chief federal inspector on Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Alexander Yamokhin gave the literary prize to the Nenets writer Anna Nerkagi.
 
 
It was founded by the Association of Writers of Ural region at support of the plenipotentiary envoy of the President of the Russian Federation in Ural Federal Okrug. This information was given to a correspondent of IA "Sever-Press" in the informational and analytical board of the administration of Priuralskiy district.
 
According to this information, the ceremony of awarding was full of special sense and content, as the head of the state announced 2015 the Year of Literature. Alexander Yamokhin gave the prize and the award pin to the writer on behalf of the presidential plenipotentiary envoy of Ural Federal Okrug Igor Kholmanskikh. As he notes in his speech of congratulation, Anna Nerkagi was able to win at big competition. 42 applications were sent for the prize from 15 regions. The jury marked 14 authors, including the writer from Yamal Anna Nerkagi and her novel "Molchaschiy" ("The Silent", written in 1996) in the nomination "Prose".
 
Anna Nerkagi is the author of the novels "Aniko of the Nogo Family" and "Ilir" and also "The White Yagel" (reindeer moss), which was written in 1995. The film was made on the novel last year.
 
The writer thanked for such high assessment of her work, for support of writers and interest to art of literature and creative people.
 
Also Alexander Yamokhin conducted a row of meetings with the local authorities of the district, visited a row of social objects and laid flowers to the Memorial of Military Glory that had been opened before the jubilee of the Great Victory.
