Finno-Ugric center will send an expedition to Yamal

Finno-Ugric cultural center of Russian Federation received a grant for support and development of the video-portal "Finnougrovision", "Sever-Press" reports. The joint program of the European Council, European Union and the Ministry for regional development of Russian Federation "National minorities in Russia: development of languages, culture, mass media and civil society" approved 24 projects received from different regions of the country. Realization of the projects is starting on the 1st of August and will continue during the year. Now the Finno-Ugric cultural center is making the plan of ethnic-cultural expeditions. One of the first expeditions will take place in Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug and Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

By the information given in the center, within the framework of the project a creative group will visit the most significant ethnic-cultural places of 7 Finno-Ugric regions of Russia. Video-sketches and films dedicated to Finno-Ugric peoples will be made by the results of the trips. Basic attention will be paid to creative people, enthusiasts, native language speakers and keepers of native traditions and also to sights, events and actions connected with preservation of ethnic-cultural legacy of Finno-Ugric peoples.

All the videos will be placed on the portal www.finnougoria.tv. They will be accessible to Internet-users on any place of the world.
